Handmade beeswax candles
Hand dipped in the Lake District by Moorlands
These handmade beeswax candles are hand dipped in the Lake District. When I first started out selling my creations, candlesticks were a key product, the natural marriage was to sell candles too. I found Teds candles and they were an instant hit. Now after a long time concentrating on taking by business online I am delighted to sell them once more. Using beeswax makes for a more natural product, whilst the paraffin wax candles are completely odourless, beeswax gives off a sweet, warm aroma.
Who thought a candle could have design and style? Inspired by Danish candle maker Kurt Saybe, the candles offer a Scandi/Mid century modern touch and work really well with our simple modern candlesticks as well as a more classic Oak candlestick.
When I first lit a candle at home the first thing that struck me was that the flame doesn’t flicker, and there were no drips whatsoever. They genuinely install a feeling of calm and relaxed ambiance to the home.
We currently sell 3 different sizes of Beeswax candle, Moorlands use as much British made beeswax as they can, however, such a vast amount is needed in the process that wax from other countries is also used.
